The President is a Horse

This is a work in progress, still in Alpha form.

This piece was created for the "Finish the Dang Thing Jam 2021" hosted by kkairos, MeanGirls, and WiL. 

The rules need working over, and the layout is not as clear or pretty as I would like.  But the Jam is nearly done so I present my work so far. 

This game is a quick, silly, party RPG where you play members of the cabinet of Secretariat O. Nelson, the first horse President of the United States of America. Your input and advice is invaluable in guiding the nation, and the horse who leads it, through a crisis.  Suggest solutions to challenging problems and debate your fellow cabinet members to convince the President to choose the best proposal, YOUR proposal.  

In this game you will attempt to propose solutions to various key moments in a governmental crisis and argue for their implementation. Choose objectives and proposals that point our government toward achieving those objectives. Win points when your proposals are chosen.

This game was inspired by Greg Stolze’s brilliant “Executive Decision”and Alex Roberts’ very fun “Hero Dog Saves Town”. If you enjoy this game be sure to check out their work.

The game in its Alpha form contains 4 sample scenarios which range from realistic and historical to wild and fantastical. You may also create your own scenarios.
